News on wild life and nature in Nandadevi area....!!
Please send us your comment and suggestion to help and preserve wild life nature
Nandadevi National Park World Heritage Site have become Smugglers site : This is not first cause that wild smugglers held, there are a lot of causes same like this, yet there is no any moment from Wild Life Forest and other wild life societies. There are only few staff who look after this area, yet they have nothing for safety as smugglers are lanced with latest gun etc.. As far as Nandadevi national park was close since last 3/4 years. Even the smugglers were operating there work from this area. no one knows how....?
There is no words from Nandadevi D.F.O on this comment. As it is not so easy to kill the wildlife in summer, its sure that as winter starts the wild animals move down to lower area as its heavy snow fall in higher area, so the hunters and smugglers do rest job from here, Well there are many huge forests near by Nandadevi area and many villages which are so close to NDBR area, but there is not any protection in this area, as I have talk to shepherds in high pass area, they said that may be snow leopard or other wild animals come to near by sheep's for hunting, and then one kill them and they sell to smugglers, they have given us brief point it mean these people are also partners with smugglers, as shepherds are moving high passes without any permission.
Well we are operating now from Joshimath to save wild life and nature, so please get back to us if you have any news or comments for Nandadevi region. Wild life and nature is our life, save them to save all.

ECOTOURISM
has been officially promoted already for years in this area, for pilgrimages to the Badrinath temple or Hemkund Sahib, for trekkings and any other outdoor activities...Pollution is now a main concern in many other parts of Himalaya,
around the Mt. Everest in the first line.
What do we do concrete about this?
With Adventure Trekking one porter goes on the treks to look after the dirt,
to clean and bring it down, and this works... You can see it!
Adventure Trekking has also begun a cleaning program in & around the local villages of the Nanda Devi National Park, with the agreement of the Uttaranchal Forest Department.
In the past, one of the great initiative to promote eco-tourism has been the creation of the
NANDA DEVI BIOSPHERE RESERVE (NDBR)
The main objective of the Nanda Devi Biosphere concept is to ensure
the conservation of landscape, ecosystem, species and genetic variations.
Encouragement to the traditional resource systems and understanding
the pattern and functioning of ecosystems are also the main conserving objects of this concept.
The NDBR was the first one to be created in Himalaya's in 1988 by the UNESCO.
Adventure Trekking proposes you to contribute
to preserve Garhwal Himalayas
as unspoiled as it has always been!
ECOTOERISME
wordt al jaren gewenst in dit gebied, for pilgrimages to Badrinath temple or Hemkund Saheb,
trekkings to the lakes Hemkund, Satopan or Kakbhushundi, to the glaciers Milam, Pinder, Kafani and Sunderdunga, for climbing to the peaks Dronagiri, Changbang, Neelkant, Kamet, or Ratban...
